Question |
What do the scholars of Islam say regarding the following matter: A non-Baligh child recited Ayat e Sajda [ a verse of prostration]; will the prostration of recitation become Wajib upon him or not? Also, if a non-Baligh child recited a verse of prostration and an adult heard it, will the prostration of recitation become Wajib upon the adult? Please explain. |

اَلْجَوَابُ بِعَوْنِ الْمَلِکِ الْوَھَّابِ اَللّٰھُمَّ ھِدَایَۃَ الْحَقِّ وَالصَّوَابِ |
Children who have not yet reached the age of puberty are not legally responsible in Shari’ah, therefore, if they were to recite a verse of prostration, the prostration of recitation will not become Wajib upon them. However, if a non-Baligh child recited a verse of prostration and a sane and mature (who is of the age of puberty) Muslim heard the recitation, the prostration of recitation will become Wajib upon the one listening. |
